At Beyond The Wonderland, we firmly believe in training the next generation. That’s why we offer mentorship opportunities for university students, preparing them to become leaders in the field and gain exposure to the tourism sector, opening doors in their own region.
While other agencies, often expensive and inequitable, continue to underpay locals, we are committed to above-market compensation and promoting excellence.
But our mission doesn’t stop there.
By allocating 5% of our profits to the Beyond Boundaries association, we help fund the construction of a sports center in Hunza, allowing children to discover trekking and dream big.

Small group
At Beyond The Wonderland, we prioritize small groups to offer an authentic immersion and foster unique interactions with local communities.
For some treks, such as the Hunza Valley, departures are available from just 2 participants, while more challenging itineraries, like the K2 Gondogoro-La Trek or Snow Lake, require a minimum of 4 participants. Our groups are intentionally limited to 2–8 people to ensure a more intimate and personalized adventure.
Traveling in small groups allows us to be agile and flexible, exploring off the beaten path and adapting to unforeseen circumstances, all while being guided by a local guide and an apprentice guide. This ensures the best decisions for everyone’s safety and well-being, while maintaining a deep connection with the local communities that welcome us.
Upon request, we can also arrange departures for just two people on longer treks for an additional fee, as the logistics remain the same as for a group of four.
Community
Alice noticed that in many travel agencies, the impact on the ground was often lacking, and many promises remained mere façades.
That’s why she decided to create this agency with Nawaz, to actively support the community through the Beyond Boundaries association.
The pricing of our itineraries reflects a fair balance, ensuring that the entire Beyond The Wonderland team receives above-average wages.
However, given the short season in Pakistan, we also encourage our travelers to give generous tips. This allows our teams to double their income and better support their families throughout the year.
We also include apprentices on every itinerary, training them in the field and providing valuable hands-on experience and exposure they could not gain elsewhere.
