Our most challenging trek. Trek 5–10 hours per day on technical trails at high altitude. Recommended for experienced hikers with excellent fitness who are ready for a true adventure.
Traveling Alone as a Woman
Many first-time travelers worry about venturing alone, and I understand — I experienced the same before my first trek to K2 Base Camp.
Hunza, however, is one of the safest regions in Pakistan.
A scarf is recommended when visiting mosques, but daily European-style clothing is perfectly acceptable.
Loose clothing is ideal, though a simple t-shirt is fine in warm weather.
Northern Pakistan offers a secure and unforgettable adventure, with breathtaking landscapes and incredibly warm, friendly locals.
What to Bring on Treks
Bring your personal items, snacks, and water for trekking days.

FAQ about this trek
Where should I land to start the trek?
We recommend arriving one day before the trek in Islamabad or very early on day 1, as we leave directly for Skardu in the late morning.
A team member will pick you up at the airport if you arrive within 24 hours before departure.
If you arrive outside this 24-hour window, you will need to arrange your own transfer, but we can advise you on the best way to reach your accommodation.
What Kind of Tents Are Provided?
For all our treks, we provide high-quality expedition tents, designed for extreme conditions. Our tents are modeled after the North Face VE 25 Summit and can accommodate 3 people, though we limit occupancy to 2 people of the same gender for comfort.
In addition, we provide:
Mess/Dining Tent: A spacious tent for group meals.
Toilet Tent: For privacy and convenience during treks.
These tents ensure comfort, safety, and a proper shelter in the mountains while keeping the experience authentic and close to nature.
What type of visa is required?
A pre-authorized Tourist Visa is required.
It must be applied for online before arriving in Pakistan. It is free and usually approved within a week.
Once approved, you will receive an official document to print in five copies.
This document will be stamped at immigration. Extra copies may be useful if you need to change your flight between Islamabad and Skardu to travel by road.
After your deposit, we will provide detailed instructions to assist with your visa application.
Will we interact with the locals?
Absolutely! Whether in the streets or during local visits, you will experience full immersion with Nawaz or Alice and the team.
We will introduce you to our “second home” and share the famous chai, the local milk tea, with locals.
Our small groups, limited to 8 participants, allow flexibility and an authentic experience close to local life.
The Hunza Valley, from the center (Aliabad/Karimabad) to Upper Hunza (Gojal/Passu) and Shimshal Valley, is familiar territory for us, ensuring genuine encounters throughout the trek.
Wifi & Mobile Network
WiFi works well in Islamabad.
In northern Pakistan, most hotels have WiFi, but connections can be unstable.
Local SIM cards are available if needed.
During treks, Internet access is unavailable, but guides carry satellite phones and emergency communication devices for your safety.
A perfect opportunity to disconnect and enjoy nature.
At what altitude do you provide oxygen bottles?
Oxygen bottles are provided only for peaks above 6000 m.
Below this, acclimatization is sufficient. Upon request, bottles can be supplied for an additional fee.
